Stitch is seeking a kind human to give him another opportunity for a comfortable life. He arrived at FAS in our after-hours kennels and his past is a mystery. At the shelter, he has been feeling overwhelmed and shut-down, though tasty treats and a soft voice have helped him become a bit comfier interacting. The presence of a welcoming cat friend in the shelter has helped Stitch feel a bit more relaxed, and his ideal new home may be one with another well-matched feline or two.
His perfect adopter will offer him patience and the understanding that he may gradually develop a trusting relationship with his caregivers outside the stressful environment of the shelter, or he may remain a more shy and independent soul. Either way, this gorgeous, swirly tabby is sure to make a picturesque presence in his new home and may be a sweet companion for another cat. At this time, he is available to a household with kids aged 10+ or no kids. Primary Color: Brown Tabby Weight: 10.5 Age: 6yrs 0mths 3wks

Adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter and first vaccines, medical exam, and microchip.
How to Adopt from Foothills Animal Shelter:
Visit the Shelter or one of our offsite adoption partner locations to find a pet. Once you’ve decided on an animal, you should check with staff to see the status and history of the animal. At this time, you can fill out an adoption application and visit with the animal.
We recommend you bring all family members to the Shelter to meet with the animal before you consider adopting. If you are interested in adopting a dog, bring any household dogs to the Shelter to determine if it is a good match. Also, if you rent your home, please bring the pet policy in your lease or rental agreement and contact information for your landlord.
Once your application is reviewed, you can pay the adoption fees and take your new pet home. It may take some time for your new pet to adjust to its new environment. If you have questions or concerns after adopting, please contact us at 303-278-7575.
