Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Meet Ari. Anyone interested in adopting Ari should know a few things about him, so we've compiled a short list of his likes and dislikes.
Likes:
Beating up on defenseless toys, then carrying them around in his mouth as a signal of his triumph in battle.
Watching the toilet flush, then attempting to lift the lid and climb into the toilet after you've walked away.
Attacking your feet while you're in bed, then snuggling up to sleep next to those same feet.
Being held in your arms and getting his chin scratched while being told what a handsome boy he is.
Dislikes:
Vacuum cleaners
Taking medicine
Being told not to attack your feet while you're in bed.
Grumpy cats who won't play with him.
Ari is a very energetic boy who would greatly benefit from having another young cat to play with. He's currently being fostered with his sister Anabella and several other cats, but hasn't been exposed to dogs. He still tends to use his claws and teeth when playing, so would be best in a home without very young children. If you're looking for a snuggle buddy to keep you warm on those cool autumn days, apply to meet Ari today!

Our mission is to provide the programs and services needed to eliminate the killing of at-risk animals due to lack of space, adopter or foster.
San Antonio Pets Alive! is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Due to alarming euthanasia rates, San Antonio Pets Alive! (SAPA!) was founded in 2012. SAPA! is unique—it is the only high paced, high-volume rescue in San Antonio, saving 6,000 at-risk cats and dogs annually.
Since its inception, SAPA! has saved more than 47,000 dogs and cats. SAPA! provides safety nets for the dogs and cats that fall through the cracks of all other lifesaving options and end up on the euthanasia lists, often with just hours to be saved. SAPA! promotes the availability of these dogs and cats to other rescues, adopters and fosters.

If you are interested in fostering an animal, please visit our website and fill out our online Foster Application. The more foster homes we have the more animals we can pull off the euthanasia list and the more lives we can save together!
