My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

***NEEDS FOSTER or FUREVER HOME***
Currently in Kimberly, ID

Meet 16-week-old DENNIS boy!

Only had a temporary foster home because kennels were booked for Labor Day.

He's a little shy at this time after being dumped on the side of the road before rescue, but is good with other dogs.

From the foster: "Likes to play with other dogs and seems to be submissive to them, gentle with my cats! Loves to smell them and has not attempted to chase them. Is now walking on leash without pulling, getting in and out of the car on his own, and in and out of a crate on his own now. He whines or howls when he needs to go potty and will go to the door, does jump on the door when he needs out but gently. Had an accident the first day but none since. Is starting to play, loves to chew on sticks lol. He is a puppy and in a chewing stage. He does have some food aggression when he had a chew bone in his crate. Just some growling at the cat. Is not food aggressive with humans. Is really coming out of his shell fast! Follows me everywhere. May have some separation anxiety. When I leave the room he cries a little. He's such a sweetheart and loves sleeping on a blanket or a bed. He will be an amazing dog for someone. Still a little skiddish with other people and unknown how he does with kids but has not even soft mouthed at all."

Additional adoption info

We require a foster or adoption application to qualify to foster or adopt our animals. We do check your current veterinary reference and landlord approval if renting. The next step is a "meet and greet" with all family members and/or household occupants, and current pets. Upon approval, we offer a "trial adoption" period that allows adopter to make sure of a good fit for both the dog and family. Adoption is final when adoption contract (different from application) is filled out and signed, and adoption fee is paid. Our adoption fees range from $75 - $300 (puppies) currently, but are subject to revision if our veterinary costs rise.
