Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Marvelous Mariah!
Mariah is a one year old Mixed Breed who is approximately 30 pounds of pure love and puppy energy. This happy go lucky girl is still getting used to her crate and definitely prefers to be in it uncovered. When you open the crate door, be prepared for her cute happy dance!
Mariah is quite curious and loves to sniff everything around her. She tries to be friends with everyone she meets. Mariah likes to be the front runner on her leash, but she's working on her manners making improvements walking. Mariah is very treat motivated and is already making great strides with her sit stay and come. She is a super smart and super sweet puppy!
If you are looking for a perfect size companion who would love to be your walking buddy or your snuggle partner, Mariah might be the perfect match for you!
Mariah is currently being fostered in Middletown, NJ and her adoption fee is $425.
To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt
All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations,, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.
For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.
We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

More about this shelter
A not-for-profit organization, Monroe County Friends of Animals help the County by raising funds to build a new facility for our animals. It is called the Eastbourne Animal Center and has now replaced the old Monroe County Animal Shelter. They provide volunteers, fundraising events, grant writing and more. There is always a need for more volunteers. With a small budget, donations are a welcome necessity. We have developed educational programs to promote spay/neuter and humane care of all animals.
