My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Houdini is ready to cast a spell to steal your heart!
This (usually very fluffy) guy came to AWA all the way from Spencer, Iowa, where he was found matted and roaming around outside. He earned his name at the vet clinic, where one night he managed to find a way right out of a locked kennel so he could explore the office!
No one came to claim him as a lost cat at the local shelter, so he was selected to come out to New Jersey as part of a special flight to help Iowa shelters affected by severe flooding this summer.
Houdini loves human company, has a big, funny personality, and is a VERY playful boy. The more playtime he gets the happier and more content he is, so lots of interactive playtime with you will be his favorite thing in the world. He loves wand toys, catnip kickers, and playing soccer with any little toy he might find on the ground. When he is exhausted from playing, he is a cuddle bug and he might even take a nap in your lap! Houdini is also adept at treat puzzles, and he definitely enjoys his Temptations Tuna treats and his Churu.
Houdini lived with other cats at his previous shelter, and would do best with a young cat who has a strong, playful personality and likes to run around and roughhouse. (Shy cats and older cats will be intimidated by his enthusiasm for wrestling.) Houdini would also do well as a single cat who gets lots of attention and active playtime every day.
