Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
This is Stan! We believe that he is a 6-year-old medium-sized mixed-breed dog. He currently weighs 27 pounds.
Stan came to Judy's Forgotten Jewells on August 24th. He was surrendered to us with his offspring and their mother when his previous owner could no longer afford to care for them. Since he has been in care, staff members say that he is a quiet and sweet guy with lots of love to give. He keeps his kennel clean and potties as soon as he gets outside. He is a little nervous in new surroundings so he will need some time to adjust to a new home but we are confident he will warm up to his new family quickly. After he learned that he was safe with us, he started to show us love almost immediately!
Stan came in with a significant amount of hair loss but his skin scrape was negative. His skin has improved since being here with proper nutrition and medicated baths so we believe it will continue to improve now that he is living in proper sanitary conditions.
Stan is also heartworm-positive and is currently taking medication before the injection treatment. The entirety of his heartworm treatment is covered by his adoption fee when services are done at Jewell Animal Hospital.
His adoption fee is $600. The adoption fee includes their care, de-worming, microchip, neuter, vaccines, fecal test, dental cleaning w/ radiographs and extractions (if necessary), and preventatives up to the point of adoption. As mentioned above, it also includes his heartworm treatment.
In addition to their adoption fee, there is a $40 fee to cover the 6 months of heartworm prevention we will send home with each adoptee.
