Unicorn is a beautiful 5-year old female Calico kitty who was brought to the HSOV on July 27, 2024 along with her three 3-month old kittens (Dragon, Griffin, and Pegasus). Unfortunately the individual(s) who entrusted this little family to our care did not provide any information about them.
Unicorn has a gorgeous black/orange/white short smooth coat in a calico pattern, a long tail, and an adorable face with golden eyes, a large black 'splotch' on her nose/muzzle, and long white whiskers.
Unicorn has a gentle, easygoing personality and was a good mother to her kittens. Since they were fully weaned when they entered our shelter, another litter of orphaned kittens were placed with Unicorn on August 2nd. Though Unicorn tried her best to nurse them, it had been too long since she had nursed her own kittens and it wasn't physically possible for her to nurture/feed the orphans .. So they were placed in foster care instead.
Unicorn was given vaccinations, wormer, and flea treatment on July 27, 2024. She weighed 8.9 lbs that day. Unicorn was given booster vaccines on August 13, 2024.
This little sweetheart will be spayed in the near future and will soon be ready to find a fabulous home either through adoption or rescue.
Rescue groups may contact our HSOV Feline Rescue Coordinator via email (sharonpaul2@suddenlink.net). We can usually help with transportation.
