My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

A while back someone finally noticed poor Neve. She spent two or more years living on the streets of Texas near a junkyard.
Sadly, local men in the area used her over and over again for breeding. They would then take and sell her pups leaving Neve there to fend for herself.
Neve is now safe and in foster in the northeast. Her foster shares the pix below how Neve carries her stuffies from place to place, as she would have cared for her pups…
Neve is about 3 yrs old. She is calm, likes to nap, is an excellent co pilot in the car and a great companion for a home looking for their next love…
Ideally, Neve would love to be an only child. She is indifferent to other dogs and cats but deserves a home of her own with all she has been thru. She has so much love to offer and shows all the behaviors of a grateful rescue dog who is happy for any and all love she receives.

PUPDATE: Neve has been in foster for a few weeks. She is calm, quiet and obedient. She doesn't ask for much. She loves her dog bed, a few soft toys and daily walks. She is obsessed with walks! Neve would love to be your new bestie.

Neve was found after being attacked by stray dogs. She never fought back, it just isn't in her sweet nature. She had several procedures to repair the injuries she sustained from the attack. Her wounds are healing and she is on the mend. She remains super lovable in spite of everything she has been through, and we cannot thank you enough for your generosity and well wishes. We truly appreciate your support and the love you have for our CHBR dogs.

Please be sure to answer all questions fully & truthfully. An incomplete application will not be processed or considered.

Adoption Policies / Adoption Process
Complete our application with the name of the dog you are applying for.

We will review all applications for each dog in order to make a decision about which home best suits the dog’s needs.
Applications are not considered in the order they are received; all applications will be considered in determining the best situation for each dog. Completing an adoption application is not a guarantee that you will receive the dog you are applying for, and CHBR reserves the right to reject any application as we see fit.
We will call the personal and veterinary references you listed on the application then contact you to schedule a home visit.
These checks are performed to ensure that you will be a responsible pet parent and that you will provide routine veterinary care for the dog as needed.
After successful completion of the home visit, you will schedule a time with the dog’s foster family to meet the foster dog.
Applicants are expected to travel to the foster family’s home to meet the foster dog. Please note this is an initial meeting to help determine if your family and the dog are a good match. Neither party is obligated to continue with the adoption, and you are not required to adopt the dog on the meeting. Either you or the foster family can call off the adoption for any reason. We hope, however, that it will be a good match and that day you’ll be able to go home with your new pet.

The adoption will be finalized with you signing the adoption contract and providing the adoption donation.
You will be provided medical records for the dog.
The dog will be fully vetted by the rescue as part of the adoption donation. This means all vaccinations, spayed/ neutered, HW tested, Tick Born Illness Tested and Micro chipped, wormed for parasites if needed.
Please remember that we do not have a facility or kennel where you can visit or meet our Boxers. All of our dogs are in the care of their loving foster homes. We can in NY, NJ, PA or New England.
