My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Location: Watsontown, PA.

Asher is 7 months and weighs in at 34 pounds. UTD on shots and is chipped.  He is not yet neutered.

He has a cute stubby tail, brindle and white coat and has grown some long legs.  He has been living with five dogs and three cats and is good with all.  Wrestle and chase are the first activity of the day.  Walks well on leash. Loves the water and will swim but prefers to play in the shallows.

Hesitant on all things new but is getting braver.  He has had some interaction with children and was shy.  He does well with people he has previously met.

His cute face is a cover as he can be very stubborn and determined to have his way.

Will crate himself during the day to rest…but not happy to crate overnight…good thing he is housebroken.

He will “Sit” but has no duration…but has learned to wait patiently for release for his meals.

A Wisdom Panel resulted in a top five mixture of 39% Cattle Dog, 20% Great Pyrenees, 16% American Pit Bull Terrier, 12% American Staffordshire Terrier and 3% BC.  He is 100% Velcro Dog and will be your loyal companion.

Asher is a Love and will put a smile on your face every day!

More about this rescue

We are an all volunteer group that rescues Australian Cattle Dogs. Our dogs reside in foster homes until they are adopted
Every year, thousands of Australian Cattle Dogs find themselves homeless through no fault of their own. Although the reasons are diverse, the result is the same. Healthy, adoptable dogs face euthanasia in shelters.

The Australian Cattle Dog Rescue Association rescues ACDs in shelters from Maine to Georgia and gives these dogs a fresh start with a loving family. Our foster home volunteers welcome the dogs into their homes where they live as members of the family. During the time in foster care, our volunteers determine what kind of forever home will be the right one for each dog.
