My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Julius! He is a member of the Golf Club litter. Pepper, Prince, Julius, Dune, and Poppy and their mom were captured and rescued near a golf course in Kennewick by a local animal lover who took them in and cared for them before they made their way to Murci's Mission. These sweet babies adapted beautifully to their new life as indoor kittens. They have an estimated birthdate of 5/01/2024.

Julius, a medium orange male tabby, is playful, affectionate, and enjoys being held. He gets along great with other cats and would be a great companion. This sweet boy has a big purr and loves attention.

Julius comes neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and dewormed. He will come with a sample of the food he's eating and medical records. The adoption fee is $100 for a single kitten or the same price for a pair. Apply to adopt at murcismission.org

Adopters in the Spokane area can expect to meet the pet during the homecheck. Others will arrange a meet and greet.

Once your application has been received, we will evaluate it as a potential match for the given animal and, if your application is selected, we will proceed to call your references and then conclude with a home check and meet and greet scheduled by you at your home. For applicants out of area, the home check may be conducted via video call before the meet and greet.

More about this rescue

From the day we could talk we told our pets more than we ever told our parents. We took the long route to see the kitty in the window down the street. We stopped even when we were late to pet the dog. We grew up and we saw what the world does to those who can't defend themselves. We are here to change that.

Ethical rescue, including fully vetting every animal and carefully placing them all into homes matched to their physical and mental needs is what we do.

Respecting all life, both animal and human, while retaining an underlying goal of keeping animals in their homes. and fostering a sense of community between local shelters and rescues is how we do it.
