Here's what the humans have to say about me:
I am currently in a foster home and not at HSNBA, if you are interested in meeting me, please contact the nice folks at HSNBA so they can put you in contact with my foster family to set up a meet & greet. E-mail HSNBA at adoption@hsnba.org, call us at: (830) 629-5287 or stop by and speak with the folks at HSNBA at 3353 Morningside Dr. to get your information sent over to my foster home. My foster family is the best and can give you more information on me.
This medium sized, brindle coated sweetheart has quickly become a volunteer favorite. Not only is she gorgeous, but she made very quick strides in her behavior and training since she has arrived at the shelter.
During doggy play group sessions, Susie Q easily makes friends with the other dogs and exhibits very polite social behavior. She would do excellently with a new sibling to play with, but that doesn't mean she wouldn't love being the center of attention in her new family's home.
Volunteers have reported that on walks and doggy day out trips to the park, Susie Q walks like a DREAM, never pulling on the leash and redirecting beautifully. She is committed to her walks and can keep up with more adventurous fitness fanatics, or enjoy the flow of a casual stroll every day.
Susie Q is an amazing dog, already started on great training and socialization thanks to her hard work with the shelter staff. She is ready to fit in perfectly to a forever home that can see how great of a family addition she can be. Come down to the shelter and meet her today to see the proof! 🌟🐾HSNBA lists all animals online from the moment of intake, and our listings are updated automatically every midnight. Some of these animals may not be available for adoption at this moment, but you can always call the shelter at 830-629-5287 for clarification on the adoption process or the animal's current status.

Cats are $60
Dogs are $120
All adoptions are spayed/neutered, vaccinated with age appropriate vaccines, treated for fleas and ticks, dewormed for common intestinal parasites, and microchipped.
Adopters must be at least 18 years old. If you don't own your residence, you must provide a copy of the lease agreement stating that you're able to own animals. We will check your animal control history and there is about 15-20 minutes worth of paperwork before you can take your animal home.
