Beautiful Esther is a 3yr old, 45lb purebred Norwegian Elkhound. She is a sweet girl that is somewhat on the timid side when she first meets new people. With just a little gentle encouraging and a few minutes time, she opens up to become an engaging, friendly girl. Esther has lived with one family since she was a little puppy but they are now moving and cannot take her with them, so we have agreed to bring her vaccines current, have her spayed, and then find her a great, forever home. We are looking for a foster home in the meantime so we don’t have to place her in boarding. Esther is wonderful on the leash and loves to go on long walks to sniff and explore everything around her. Even though she’s a little timid, she enjoys meeting new people, too. She is great with kids and has engaged with children of all ages. Kids over 8 yrs old is preferred. She is also great with dogs of all sizes and would love to have a playmate in the home, but it’s not required. Esther is fully house trained, although she likes to spend her time in a fenced yard when her people are not home. An elkhound or similar breed experienced home is best. During foster, all supplies are provided.
