My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Tina and Buttercup, two charming feline companions who are ready to find their forever home together! These spirited girls complement each other beautifully-Tina, the delightful tuxedo kitten, is brimming with energy and affection, while Buttercup, with her playful antics and vibrant personality, guarantees endless entertainment and love.

Tina is your typical tuxedo kitten, full of charm and silliness. She adores playing with her siblings and curling up for some good old-fashioned cuddles. Tina is curious and eager to explore her surroundings, making her a fantastic addition to any loving home. She has the potential to thrive in a household with children or other pets, given the right introductions.

Buttercup is a friendly and spirited feline who captures hearts with her expressive eyes and mischievous nature. While she brings a lively vibe to the household, she may be better suited for homes with older children or other animals, again with proper introductions. Buttercup's antics promise to keep you entertained and engaged.

Both Tina and Buttercup came to the SPCA from a rural property with an overwhelming number of cats and kittens. Their rough start exposed them to various parasites and viruses, but thanks to the care they received, they have undergone treatments and are now healthy and vaccinated. However, due to their previous exposure, we recommend that any resident cats are up to date on their vaccinations. It's important to note that they should both be kept as indoor cats to ensure their continued health and safety.

Could you be the special someone to give Tina and Buttercup the loving home they deserve? If you're ready to welcome this dynamic duo into your family, apply in person or online at:

Bring home the joy and love that only these two can offer-together!

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
