My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bellini is a charming Poodle with a playful spirit and a love for attention. While he can be a bit nervous when meeting new people, Bellini quickly warms up with patience and care. He's full of energy and will keep you entertained with his goofy antics!

Bellini is looking for a calm and quiet household where he can feel secure, ideally with dog-savvy kids who understand his needs. He might do well with another dog as long as introductions are done slowly and carefully.

This lively pup will thrive in an active home that can keep up with his mental and physical energy. He'll need continued training, particularly with leash manners and overcoming his nervousness around loud noises and moving cars. Regular grooming is a must to keep his coat in top condition.

Bellini is a bit of a picky eater, so finding the right diet for him might take some trial and error, but his loving nature will make every effort worth it.

If you're looking for a fun-loving companion and are ready to meet his needs, Bellini could be the perfect addition to your home!

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
