My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tula and Simon were brought into care after being found outdoors in rough shape. They were part of a litter battling upper respiratory infections that have since cleared up, but this means if they are adopted to a multicat household, the existing cat should be up to date on vaccinations so they are protected against any contagion in the future incase the virus pops back up!

They are an extra sweet duo, friendly and LOVE people. They love to play and romp around their foster home, and would do well in a family home!
These two are so affectionate, all they want is place to call home after over 100 days in care waiting.
Tula is active and loves to play with her brother, she adores cereal boxes and feather toys.
Simon is just a baby in a big boys body now, he craves being held and loved. He too, loves boxes and feathers and is a big foodie. He is bit more calm than Tula, however.. withhold cuddles and face the wrath!

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

    Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

    Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

    Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

    1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

    2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

    3. Freedom from distress

    4. Freedom from discomfort

    5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
