Meet Lainey in Johnson City! Lainey Bug is going to make someone the absolute best adventure buddy. She is an Aussie mix who is just shy of one year old and is a perfect mix of sweet and sassy.
Lainey was born ready. She is an angel on car rides. She loves hiking, swimming, meeting new people and playing frisbee in the yard with her brothers. She still has a good bit of puppy energy but she also settles very nicely and loves cuddling on the sofa. She will snooze all day after a morning walk.
Her perfect person would make her their constant sidekick for lots of outdoor adventure. Lainey is super eager to please, easy to train and is very treat motivated. She would make an excellent agility or frisbee dog. Girl is FAST.
She is fully potty-trained and is working on leash manners and on greeting people without jumping. She learned to sit in about 10 mins and we are now working on the stay part. Lainey will thrive with a person who understands the breed and can guide her to be her best self. Lainey is good with kids (though older children may be best) and other dogs, but she wants to chase the cat. She is a bit reactive to squirrels and bunnies on walks and will pull on her leash.
Her biggest issue is counter surfing and stealing shoes. It has definitely improved in the 3 weeks we have had her, but we are also working on ourselves and putting away anything tempting. She is crate trained and does ok with it, but definitely prefers to be with her humans.
Lainey currently weighs about 35 lbs (though I think she will fill out to about 40 as she is tall and lanky) is fully vetted, up to date on all shots and preventatives and ready for adoption. There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes application and transfer to her new furever family. All adoption fees are used for future rescue efforts.
