Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
A volunteer writes: Melo is initially playing hard to get. She is reluctant to come out of her kennel, and standoffish on the street. But once we give her a tennis ball she is thrilled beyond belief. She bats it around like a soccer ball, chomps it, and poses with it. She pops her butt into the air into a play bow and eventually lays down all the way, the happiest girl on the streets of Queens. When it's time to go back inside, Melo protests politely by plopping back down on the sidewalk begging for a few more minutes of playtime, which we of course give her. We can't deny such a cute girl a few minutes in the sunshine with her new ball. A family member of Melo's brought her in when they didn't want her anymore. Melo has been a tad shy with us, but warms up with a gentle and slow approach. When greeting another dog at the shelter, Melo pulled strongly away from the dog and did not approach. She is looking for an experienced home Primary Color: White Secondary Color: White Weight: 62.2 Age: 5yrs 2mths 3wks
