My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Chester! This adolescent Doberman came to the Shelter as an owner surrender after his previous guardian was unable to continue caring for him. His previous guardians told us the following about Chester:
-high energy!! Enjoys long walks and playing with toys
-when meeting other dogs, play-bows and solicits play
-no history with cats
-knows “sit”, “shake”, “spin”, “lay down” and “gentle” (for taking treats)

Since arriving at the Shelter, staff have observed that Chester is easy to leash but a bit of a bull in a china shop – jumping up on people and still working on his manners. Chester has a zest for life and sometimes has trouble filtering it. Adopters should plan on lots of physical exercise paired with positive reinforcement based training to help Chester work on his life skills and manners as well as channel this “zest for life energy”. Think you’re up for the task? Come meet this handsome guy today.
