My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sully is a male Neapolitan mastiff about two years old & is a big lug weighing approximately 165 pounds. Sully loves the humans in his home adults & children alike. He is also good with other dogs.
With his breed, he tends to be stubborn & a little, unsure when meeting new people. Sully would need a strong confident owner that would continue training with him & has experience with these extra large guardian type breeds.
At two years old, he is still a big puppy not realizing his size. We like to call him a big squishy. He knows commands like sit, shake, lie down & come. He absolutely loves car rides & walks. He walks well on a leash or harness.
He is a sensitive soul. He wants your attention & affection. He will literally plop down on the floor, rolling on his side for belly rubs, & if he’s corrected, he will usually do the same thing. He absolutely loves toys, whether they are nylons, plushy, stuffed animals, balls, or squeaky toys. He also absolutely loves to play tug.
Sully is house trained, crate, trained & has free rain at night. He loves to sunbathe by windows or on a deck. When he wants alone time, he will go in his kennel to hang out. Sully is food, motivated, loves strawberries & blueberries. He likes to play so much; other dogs have to put him in at check at times when they’ve had enough.
Due to his size children over 10 would be best so he doesn’t unintentionally knock them over.
Sully is really a sweetheart, & just wants to be loved & reassured. A strong confident leader is key as Sully is a follower.

Additional adoption info

If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application at rescuegang.org/adopt.

Step 1: Submit an Adoption Application.
An adoption is not considered without a completed application. This step will let us know if your household is what our animal needs to feel safe and comfortable!

Step 2: Background Check, Landlord Check, Vet Check
We will check to make sure that you do not have any violent charges, are allowed pets where you live, and will check with your vet to make sure your animals have remained up to date on testing, vaccinations, and checkups.

Step 3: Meet and Greet
If approved, our adoption coordinator will set you up with the foster parent’s contact information. It is up to you to call the foster parent and schedule a meet and greet.

Step 4: Home Visit
One of our volunteers will come to your house and conduct a home visit with the help of a checklist.

Step 5: Adoption Decision
Rescue Gang will decide if both parties would make a great fit for each other! If so, we can go about finalizing your adoption! Please keep in mind that an approved application does not necessarily mean that you *are* going to be able to adopt the animal you applied for.

Please note:
An approved application means that your have passed the initial screening process and may proceed to the following steps. The animal you are interested in may have more than one application and may have already found his/ her forever home before you are able to meet. In that case, your application will remain active for 90 days
