Halo is a shining star!

This 4 year old girl holds all our hearts in the palm of her hand! She's a great dog- super family friendly and looking for a home without other pets.

Halo is a super sweet girl who loves to hang out with her favorite people. Teens would be a great fit for her silly personality and sensitive nature. Halo is tuned into your mood and is chill when you want to slump on the couch, and energetic when you want to play and be silly! She's a great family dog who can't wait to be chosen as your one and only!

Individuals wishing to adopt an animal from our shelter must complete an adoption application and provide proof of home ownership or, if you are a renter, you must provide a copy of your lease or a notarized letter from your landlord stating pets are permitted. You must be at least 21 years of age to adopt any animal from our shelter. We reserve the right to refuse any adoption. In some instances, a home visit may be required. Our fees vary depending on the age and breed of the animal. Typically, a mix breed is $110.00 and a purebreed is $150.00 and up. There is also an altering charge of $85.00 for a male and $95.00 for a female. All animals receive vaccines, microchip identification, frontline treatments.

We are opened 7 days a week between the hours of 12:00-5:00pm for adoptions. No appt is necessary and we welcome prospective adopters to bring their current pet for a meet and greet with one of our orphans.

The Newark Branch of the Associated Humane Societies provides the following services including animal control, animal surrenders & adoptions, cruelty investigations, educational outreach & low cost spay/neuter services in our stationary clinic, as well as our Mobile Spay/Neuter Unit.
