My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet RIO!

RIO is good with all dogs of all sizes! When we first got him we thought he was completely blind and unable to see but he can definitely see some! He does great at getting around, needs a little guidance into his kennel, but he can see shadows because he will follow me and the dogs around perfectly!

He loves to play and gets along well with all other dogs. He's is working on his basic commands and he knows his name really well to! He loves belly rubs and pets in general.

He is potty trained and good with all people, kids included-has been around younger and older children.

RIO is 9 months old.

More about this rescue

A Lab for Life (ALL) provides a compassionate life-line to abandoned dogs that includes a safe haven, medical care by a licensed veterinarian, nutrition (food) and a fur-ever family through adoption. ALL promotes the humane treatment of animals in the community.

ALL was founded in July 2020 by a group of dog advocates in central Oklahoma and
Northeastern US after some had been volunteering with an out of state rescue for over 5 years. That experience solidified a local organization was needed. ALL formed to rescue as many stray, homeless and owner surrendered dogs as possible by partnering with many state-wide shelters and rescue operations. In addition to transferring homeless dogs from the shelters, fostering them in temporary homes and adopting them out, we also provide behavioral and medical resources to people who are considering surrendering their dog in an effort to keep the dog in their homes and out of the shelter/rescue system.
ALL operates under the 5 freedoms for animal welfare.
We are a brand new organization and welcome donations!
