Hey everybody! SOCKS Foster Bentley here. I was so excited when Ms Judy said it’s time to find my furever home but I guess no one else got the message. Surely, someone is looking for a distinguished 11 year old gentlemen even though I have the energy of a much younger dog. I carry my ball everywhere including to the doctor’s office and am looking for someone who will throw it when I bring it to you! If you don’t throw it I will stare at you! I also love pillows and laying on them and sometimes I just put my ball on the pillow. I’m okay with a crate as long as I can see my person but I would really, really like to snuggle up and sleep in the big bed with you. I can use a doggie door and I’m houstrained except the first few days when I’m taking ownership of the house. I do get along with other dogs as long as they are introduced slowly. Ms Judy can tell you more about that. I really want a fenced yard to run in and chase my balls. I do have a big dog bark so no apartments, condos or apartments for me. I really like being with my people so I do bark a little when you leave. And if you leave a chair pulled out from you table I do like to see if there’s anything interesting on it but I’m not big enough to check out your counters. I am a bit mischievous but everyone says that’s part of my charming personality. I love to lay by my person on the sofa and really like to be in your lap. And when I’m taking a little snooze you will find me on the back of the sofa. SOCKS adopts to families in Florida, Georgia, Southern Alabama and southeastern Mississippi. If you are out of the state of Florida, you would need to travel to Florida to complete your adoption. Please note that we do check vet references, and your current pets must be up to date on vaccinations and heartworm testing and be able to provide proof of purchase of HW prevention. All dogs and cats in your home must be spayed or neutered. We will not set up a meet and greet until your application has been received, reviewed, and approved. Adoptions are not done on a first come first served basis. We will accept applications and then screen all and choose the best match. Only approved applicants will be contacted.
