My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This precious baby girl made her way to FOA in the nick of time!

Derby had her freedom ride and is now available for adoption! This precious girl is downright BEAUTIFUL! She has the most gorgeous brindle markings, and she's pretty little. She enjoys playing with her toys, exploring outside, and getting plenty of snuggles. She gets along with everyone and is young enough to learn how to play nice with kitties! If you're looking to add a new best friend to your family, then you better fill out that application below!

More about this shelter

We are the only shelter in Cedar County, Iowa. We take in homeless dogs and cats and help them to find carefully screened, lifelong, and nurturing homes. FOA serves Cedar County, Iowa.

When you adopt, you’re not just giving a deserving dog or cat a home. You’re also reducing the demand for puppy mills and other industrial-scale breeding operations that put profits before animal welfare. Homeless, scared, abused, neglected or surrendered, whatever the circumstance may be, our goal is to give all animals the chance to feel loved, wanted and special. After all, their souls are pure, and they deserve only the best from us.
