My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Tiny little Carson was found wandering under and around an abandoned trailer so was scooped up to be checked out and neutered. We realized he was a gentle little soul who was just very scared.

He likes hanging out with the other kittens and really likes some of the older cats in the foster home. He will need a mentor kitty to help him adjust to a new home. He does not need to be adopted with his buddy Cody who was found at the same place. He would be happy with an older cat that would play with him and snuggle.

He likes to chase ball toys around and has found the red dot laser light is fun to try to pounce on. He is timid, so his new folks need to give him adjustment time. But he will purr when you hold him and will lay on your lap for a bit.
Since he really likes canned food, that is a great bribe to teach him that tasty food is a reward for allowing pets and attention. Food and playing with toys is the best way to help him.

Carson has been neutered, vaccinated, tested negative for FIV/FeLV and has had various parasite treatments. He is ready for his new home.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

All of our animals are in foster care so please complete an application at our website (www.castawaycritters.org) before meeting them. Completing an application does not obligate you to adopt; however, it is required. Applications are processed in the order received in an effort to find the best match possible for both the dog and the adopter.

Please also check out our events page on our website as fosters sometimes bring their available animals out to meet people!

More about this rescue

We are a non-profit rescue group that takes in stray, abandoned, and sick animals, giving them medical and foster care until available for adoption. We offer low cost spay/neuter clinics to the public and a special program called Operation CatNIP for pet cats of low income qualified individuals and feral cats, and assist in TNR for cats.
