Wilson has come a long way! He is about 7 years old and fully house trained/ heartworm negative. You can see how much he has changed from his photos – he came to TBBR with an injured leg, itchy skin, and no fur on his tail or nose. He has transformed into a very handsome guy!
Wilson loves to walk and has good energy for an older guy – he loves a good squeaky toy and will bring it back to you time and time again. It’s clear he has not had a lot of love in his life, so he will follow you everywhere. He needs at least two walks a day to help him with his anxiety. He also loves riding in the CAR! He will curl up next to you in the evenings on the couch and will sleep quietly on a dog bed at night.
Wilson has just completed a training camp and he is doing much better with his reactivity around other dogs. He is food motivated and eager to please; he will sit nicely for a treat and “shake” his paw. He would prefer to be an only dog but could be placed with a female dog if you are willing to work with him. He also needs a household without small children as he can get a little grumpy if you touch his leg in the wrong spot. He has not been tested around cats but does not seem bothered by them.
Wilson is ready for his forever home – won’t you give him a chance?
