My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Do you enjoy the softer side of life? If you answered yes to this question, we have someone very special to introduce you to. Meet Slippers! A vintage old man with the most spectacular runway stroll. He has a gentle personality with a face full of charm. He will provide comfort when you're cold and just enough support when you need it. A superior mutt who can't wait to curl up with you by the fire and make sure your tootsies stay warm. Get yourself some Slippers today, he is a life changer!

Here are some notes from his foster:

Slippers is SUCH a sweetheart. He loves nothing more than to be with you at all times! Even though he has the cutest little wobble, it doesn't stop him from following you from room to room (and if he's napping while you leave, he will run to find you!) He loves to snuggle and perch his tiny head on your body. When you come home, he is so happy and his little tail wiggles at 100, maybe more like 1,000, mph.

He loves to shower you with kisses right when you wake up or come home. He LOVES toys, and has made a best friend in a toy lamb chop, which he will have in his mouth at all times. He also invites you to get in on the toy action, and has a blast playing tug-a-war with his stuffies.

Slippers loves walks, and is eager to meet all people and dogs, but does not tug to do so. He also is pretty quiet, and I haven't heard him bark once despite having construction staff and noises right outside our window. Although, he did do some cute lil growls when he caught his reflection of himself in the mirror!

With a little treat motivation and a lot of routine, Slippers is learning to go potty outside. He has started to do a little dance at the door to let us know when he needs to go out. We're also learning how a bowl works, as he seems to be used to eating food straight off of the floor, and needs a little direction/prompting to eat out of it.

Since slippers came to Muttville with signs of extreme neglect, and therefore probably did not get the training and attention he deserves, he may need a little extra patience to learn how to be a "pet dog" in his furrever home. But in return he will reward you with more love, kisses, and high speed tail wags than you could ever imagine!
