Meet Journey! A sweetheart, 1 year old, pure bred American Bulldog, with the softest fur! Journey is a bit shy with new people and animals but is not aggressive, just needs time to sniff and feel them out. Journey is medium energy, and likes to chase after a ball or go on a run, (Journey does well on trail runs but would require practice getting comfortable with road running because vehicles give her a bit of anxiety). Journey also likes to be around people. She likes to sit under a chair and quietly listen to the conversation. She has been around children 10 years old and up. She has not been around other dogs or cats. She is house trained, crate trained, knows the commands "sit and "stay", and in general listens very well. Journey would love to find a kind best friend and a Furever home. The Adoption Counselors will review your application and if approved will contact you to pay an adoption hold fee to reserve the animal.

Meet the Pet

All adopters need an appointment to meet the pet due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Thank you for choosing adoption! We hope that you will find a pet that will become a long time member of your family! Currently we are open to visitors and adopters via appointments only. The Adoption Counselors can schedule a time to visit after reviewing your accepted application. Please visit our website to see the pets profile and apply for them electronically. All of our dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, have rabies and distemper shots (age appropriate), and are de-wormed and microchipped. he Humane Society of Charles County (HSCC) is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that relies completely on private donations and its own fundraising abilities to operate. We do not receive any federal, state or government funding or any funds from any national animal welfare organizations to operate.

The fees collected from the adoption of each animal help to offset some of the costs involved in providing care for the animals and preparing an animal for placement into a new home.
