What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Juniper is 8 years old. We got him from friends who were rehoming him due to a growing family. Juniper is sweet and friendly, and he loves attention like petting and play time and loves playing tug-of-war. Juniper has separation anxiety that we were not aware of or equipped to deal with when we adopted him. He has had a past of destroying blinds, furniture, and other household items when left alone, and because of this we keep him in a crate when we're not home. We’ve found that when he is crated in an isolated room he becomes extremely anxious, whereas when he is crated in an open area that people are usually in, like a living room, he is much calmer even if no one’s home. We’ve also discovered that he does not become nearly as anxious if there are other dogs in the home, but we cannot afford another dog. If you have a backyard, other dogs and older children to play with, Juniper is the dog for you! He becomes very excited around newborns but will calm down once he gets used to them.
