My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Helllooooo! My name is Emmer and I am so happy to meet you! I want to tell you how the kind deputies of Animal Control rescued me! I was hanging around a neighborhood near downtown. A kind homeowner saw me and called the shelter. Well the deputy came and I rode in with her and was welcomed by the other employees when I arrived! I was given a nice big dog run, a big bowl of food, and a nice comfy bed! Ahhhhhh....Well I have rested up and I am available for adoption! I am a hound mix that is about a year old. I have all of my vaccinations, I am heartworm negative, I have a microchip, and I have been spayed. I hope you will make an appointment to meet me soon! FYI.... The shelter had already rescued my beautiful puppies before they were able to catch me. They told me I was such a good "mama" and my puppies were sweet and amazing! Most of them have already found homes!

Additional adoption info

The placement of our adoptable animals into loving, caring homes and thereby enhancing the bond between animals and people is the primary goal of the Montgomery Humane Society Adoption Program. We focus on education so that every pet owner benefits from their contact with the shelter, whether or not they adopt an animal from us. Matching the needs of the animal and the potential owner, as well as educating potential owners about responsible pet ownership, helps to ensure successful pet placements of shelter animals.
