My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Blue! This sweet and affectionate boy is looking for someone to show him all life has to offer. He even has experience as a family cat that got to be best buds with two children! He's been said to do quite well with not only kids but most other cats. Dogs don't seem to be his cup of tea, but if you've got a feline, he's definitely a potential candidate to be a kitty sibling. He loves playing with small stuffed toys and curling up on laps for some quality cuddle time. Blue is gentle by nature and has a medium energy level, making him the perfect mix of playful and calm. He's a bit shy around new people at first but quickly warms up and shows his loving personality. Blue is looking for a patient, loving home where he can thrive. If you're ready to welcome a sweet and loyal companion, he would love to be a part of your family!

If you'd like to meet our available pets, please check the "shelter information" box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Fairfax Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours! Both of our locations are open Tuesdays and Wednesdays 12-5 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays 12-7 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays 11 a.m.-5 p.m. For more information on our adoption process, including requirements and fees, visit: www.fairfaxcounty.gov/animalshelter/adopt
