This helps Pendleton Animal Welfare Shelter with pet care costs.
9/9/24: Into care. Looks to be a hound/heeler mix to us! The long/floppy ears give away the hound and the speckled paws, chest & nose give away the heeler! She’s gonna be a great pet. It’s a good mix! Smart like a heeler and athletic like a hound. And prob won’t be large at all. Medium sized like 35-45 lbs.
Friendly, smart & sweet pup, prob abandoned. Loves other dogs! We are so grateful to the nice family who got her safe and cared for her until PAWS could get her into foster care! Rosie is doing very well in foster care. She will be available for adoption on or after her spay appt on September 24th. She'll be a good companion to some lucky family! More to come after we get to know her better.
9/17/24: From Rosie's foster mom: Rosie is a sweet, curious, playful and high energy pup who would benefit from a young canine playmate. She loves to run around at top speed so would need a safe, fenced space to do that. Our cats are wary but she seems to want to play with them and yet they are older so they won't have it & scamper away.
She is crate trained, sleeps through the night and knows the “bathroom” is outside. She is learning to stand by the door to indicate she needs to go out. She is a fast learner and will make a lovely family pet.
