Meet Henry!

Henry is a gentle giant with a heart full of love. Though a little shy at first, he's incredibly sweet and always eager to be a part of whatever you're doing. Henry absolutely adores attention and will gently paw at you when he wants more pets. He's on a journey to gain confidence and adjust to new environments, so he's looking for a patient and calm home that can help him along the way.

Henry also enjoys spending time outdoors, so a home where he can have some outdoor time during the day would be ideal for him. He came into our care with a knee injury and is awaiting TPLO surgery, needing a peaceful place to recover and a loving family to support him through this process. During his time with us, Henry formed a strong bond with another dog, Heidi, who is also awaiting orthopedic surgery. They would love to find a home together, but if that's not possible, Henry would do well with a calm canine friend, given a proper introduction.

Do you think you could be Henry's person? Here are some ways to find out:

1.) Visit our centre to meet this pet during adoption viewings Friday to Wednesday noon to 3pm, learn more about their ideal match, and apply to adopt in person; or

2.) Submit an online application adopt.spca.bc.ca and staff will contact the first suitable adopter to set-up a visit! Kindly note that due to the high number of applications and the availability of walk-in adoptions an online applicant would have to be available to come in for a meet within 24 hrs.
