My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

***URGENT: Billie needs a new foster or forever home by 12/7! Approved adopters are eligible for a waived adoption fee ($0) and free professional training for Billie! Applicants must be local to central KY and able to transport to training sessions.*** Billie is a sweet girl on the hunt for a forever family. She has a GORGEOUS blue/brindle coat and STUNNING yellow/green eyes - photos dont do her justice! You just need to meet her in person. What weve learned about Billie so far is that shes fairly independent, a fast learner, sleeps comfortably on car rides, and never goes anywhere without her favorite rainbow unicorn stuffie! In her current foster home, shes proven to be crate trained and housebroken. Currently, shes working diligently on leash manners. Billie seems to do well with most other dogs(currently fostered with another adult female)and humans ages 9+. We can test her with younger children and/or cats upon request. Billie has completed her vet care and can join her forever family as soon as they find her. If youre interested in adopting, please submit an application and well be in touch ASAP! A meet with any approved applicants current pets is required. Please visit our website savedbyfate.org to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs and cats.

Additional adoption info

SBF adoptions start off with a 2-week trial period to ensure that the SBF dog is a good fit for your family and current pets. The adoption fee is due the day an adopter starts the 2-week trial period. If the adoption does not work out within those two weeks, the adopter will be refunded all but a $50 donation, or they can put the fee towards another adoptable dog.

More about this rescue

Saved by Fate is a dog rescue organization in Central Kentucky that specializes in pulling dogs at high risk of euthanasia from Kentucky shelters. SBF was founded by Mara DeLaus and Ciara Hagedorn in 2022. After years of volunteering for a fellow organization, they saw a significant need for additional rescue resources in their area. SBF is an entirely foster and volunteer based organization that does not have a physical location or kennel at this time.
