My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**Meet Nashville: The Sweet Southern Gentleman with a Big Heart! **

Say hello to Nashville, an 8-week-old red merle Labradoodle-Aussie mix with a heart as warm as a Tennessee summer! This handsome little guy might be small, but he's got a big love for life and a playful spirit that's impossible to resist.

Nashville's story is a little unique. As a double merle, he was born with some special genetics that make him hearing and visually impaired. While he can't see or hear perfectly, he can still pick up on shapes, outlines, and loud noises-enough to get by and keep up with his friends. This just means he needs a little extra time to adjust to new surroundings and will need adopters who are patient, attentive, and committed to helping him navigate his world with love and care.

While Nashville isn't officially bonded with his brother Austin, they do share a special connection as both are double merles and rely on each other quite a bit. Nashville would love to be adopted with Austin so they can continue to support each other in their new home!

But don't let his differences fool you-Nashville is just like any other puppy who loves to play, snuggle, and make friends. He's a quiet, loving little guy who does great with other dogs, cats, and kids, and he's got a playful streak that will keep you entertained for hours. Nashville has a gentle soul and a sweet disposition, making him the perfect companion for anyone looking to add a little extra love to their life.

If you're ready to open your heart to a pup with a little something extra, Nashville is waiting to meet you! Visit [www.yourlocalfurmama.com/adopt](http://www.yourlocalfurmama.com/adopt) or click the link in our bio to submit an adoption application. And if you can't adopt, please share Nashville's story to help him find his perfect match!

Nashville may need a little extra guidance, but he's got a whole lot of love to give-and if he can bring his brother Austin along for the adventure, even better! Could you be the one to show them the way to their forever home?

Additional adoption info

We have an extensive adoption process as it is important to us that we not only find the perfect furever home for one of our babies, but that we find the perfect addition to your family.

Everyone is required to fill out our adoption application in it’s entirety. At the end of the adoption application, each applicant must provide three, non family references, contact information for every adult over the age of 18 living in the home, vet information, and landlord contact information (if applicable). Our team then calls and speaks to every one of the above listed. If all checks out, we will then schedule an interview with the applicant over the phone. The last step is to submit a home video tour which includes a walk through of the entirety of the applicant’s home and yard (if adopting a puppy/dog).

Once all of the above is completed, we can go ahead and schedule a meet and greet with the animal and the applicant.

Please understand that completion of this process is not a guarantee of an adoption. Our team works tirelessly to ensure the very best outcome for both the animal and potential adopter. If a particular animal does not work out but you have an approved application, we will work with you to match you with the perfect fit.

**Priority for kittens is given to those willing to adopt a pair as kittens do much better with a friend. Some kittens are listed as a bonded pair and are not allowed to be adopted separately but will be labeled as such.

All of our adoption fees include up-to-date vet recommended vaccines, proper deworming protocol, spay/neuter, a month’s dose of flea and tick meds as well as heartworm meds (if applicable), a microchip with a lifetime registration, various other vetting expenses as well as an adoption bag full of goodies!

More about this rescue

Our team is dedicated to taking in neonatal kittens and puppies (anywhere from a couple hours old to about 12 weeks) and providing the life saving care that they so desperately need. Thanks to a dedicated group of foster families, we take in neonates from the areas of East Tennessee and North Georgia, place them in the home of an experienced neonatal foster family and provide all supplies needed to raise these sweet babies. All our animals are fully vetted and then adopted out into loving homes across the continental 48 states.
