My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

RICCO is a 7 yr old cattle dog.. He is a quiet boy, good with people and needs proper intro to other dogs.. Once he meets them he seems to be ok with them. He is housebroken, crate trained. Lived prior with smaller dogs. He is heartworm positive and we will pay for treatment. This sweet boy will be available soon for adoption, once he recovers from his neuter and he is cleared medically.

*UPDATE* This little boy is so petite and calm. He is definitely a velcro dog. He sticks right with me. His name was changed from Ricco to Ringo (the dingo) ♡. He loves is new tough name!! Ringo is now in foster care. He is such a sweet boy. He seems to be much younger than 7 years old. Ringo gets along with 4 other dogs in my home. He is such a lap dog and loves to cuddle. He is very quiet. He has not once tried to be aggressive or bite my children or I. Ringo sits calmy and watches TV with my dad who is 86 years old. He will nibble softly with play bites. His eyes and and respectful demeanor show how grateful he is to be loved and treated with kindness 💖

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We require potential adopters to fill out an Adoption Application. When that is approved we can arrange for the prospective adopter to meet the dog they are interested in. We do require an adoption contract to be signed at time of adoption. We have a virtual home-check process (don't forget to submit photos of the exterior of your home!) Adoption fees range depending on the age of the dog. We do have dogs located at qualified fosters throughout the state and also out of state.

Go meet their pets

Since all rescue dogs live in foster homes, there is no single facility to meet pups.

You will need to contact Ewenity Farms HDH to make arrangements to meet the rescue dog after you have an approved app on file. Apps can be filled out at ewenityfarm.org

More about this rescue

We are a small, foster-based rescue organization located in Southwest Florida. Being small helps us give more one-on-one attention to individual dogs and their needs. Rescued dogs are kept in our homes and treated as our own. Herding dogs are unique. They are highly intelligent and require much of the owner’s attention. The dogs are evaluated, when they come into the rescue, for any temperament and health issues. Then they are given basic obedience, socialization and rehabilitation as it is necessary.

It is our sole purpose to find forever homes for these loving, wonderful dogs that have been discarded through no fault of their own. All adopted dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, micro-chipped, and on flea and heartworm preventative.
