Cooper is a chihuahua mix that is 2 years old, weighs about 17 pounds
Cooper is an energetic and loving dog who takes time to warm up to people. He warms up quicker with women and needs people to be patient with him so he can trust them. We think he may have been abused in the past. He has made great strides and is now wonderful at meeting new people on leash! He would be OK as an only dog so long as he has plenty of opportunities to run and play, but he would really love a home with a doggie sibling or two! A fenced yard is preferred. Cooper seems to do better with dogs his size or larger (he has too much energy and playfulness for most smaller dogs). He also loves to have time to be a couch potato and loves to cuddle and get pets! His coat is so incredibly soft! Cooper would love a patient person or family to give him the love and time he needs. He bonds deeply with his human and will be your shadow in no time! He walks great on a leash, is house trained, and can be left alone in the home. He does not like to be crated and does show signs of separation anxiety if left alone too long. Cooper is the perfect combination of love and playfulness and truly is the perfect companion! We call him Super Cooper because he has made such great progress learning to trust and live his best dog life! If you are interested in adopting Cooper, please fill out an adoption application online at www.crisisdogsnc.org.
Comprehensive details are provided in the dog's description. To ensure a smooth process, please submit a completed application through our website at: http://crisisdogsnc.org/dog-adoption/.
