My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Delilah: The Tall Gorgeous Goldendoodle with a Big Personality and Legs for Days!
About Me: Hello, Darling! My name is Delilah, and I'm a stunning almost 4-year-old Goldendoodle with a flair for making an entrance. With my tall, graceful build and poodle coat, I'm the very definition of beauty-and I know it! But there's more to me than good looks; I've got a vibrant personality and a dash of sass that makes life with me anything but boring.
Personality: I like to take my time when getting to know new people, but once I warm up-look out! I'll be all over you (literally) with my long legs and big heart, ready to crawl right into your lap. While I may be a bit pushy for attention, it's only because I know that with a little charm, I can win you over for belly rubs and ear scratches and some tasty treats. I might get a little anxious in new situations, but once you've earned my trust, I'll settle into your routine and become your most devoted companion.
Daily Life: I walk well on a leash and enjoy our strolls together, though loud noises can make me a bit jumpy. That's why I'd love a quieter neighborhood where I can explore without too much hustle and bustle. In foster care, I've met plenty of other dogs and, while I haven't quite figured out how to play just yet, I'm determined! If you have a dog who's patient and enjoys a game of chase, we could be a great match. Or, if I'm your one and only, that's just fine too-I'm all about soaking up the spotlight!
Favorite Things: I'm a bit of a Diva and enjoy life's finer things: comfy beds, gourmet treats, and a good spa day every six weeks to keep my curly coat looking fabulous. I can happily content myself with a stuffy toy, but when it's time to sleep, I'd much prefer your bed to my crate. If you've got space for my long legs, I'll snuggle up and keep you company through the night. But, if there's no room in bed, I get it, and as long as I have a quiet cozy bed, I will be just fine.
The Perfect Home: I'm looking for a calm, consistent home where I can be adored for the quirky, lovable pup that I am. A routine will help me feel secure, and I'd thrive in a home that understands my need for reassurance and, of course, plenty of attention. Whether I'm sharing my life with a dog who can match my energy or being your one-and-only, I promise to bring a mix of fun, lots of love, and a little bit of Goldendoodle sass to your life.
If you're ready to welcome a gorgeous, spirited, and attention-loving Goldendoodle into your world, I'm your girl. Please apply with the link below to learn more about how we can start our next adventure together. I can't wait to meet you and show you just how fabulous life with me can be!
See you soon Darling!! Love Delilah

More about this rescue

Who We Are:
Zoe's House, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal welfare group based out of Sinking Spring,PA. We are comprised solely of volunteers that generously volunteer their time, their homes and their hearts. We are dedicated to rescuing homeless, neglected or abandoned animals from high kill shelters or from owners who can no longer care for them. We provide the animals with loving foster care, veterinary treatment and rehabilitation until we are able to pair them with compatible and loving forever homes. At times we also offer permanent sanctuary to those with special or medical needs and that are considered unadoptable.

Zoe's House serves as a resource to our community and to our adopters by providing education and information on responsible pet ownership, the importance of spay/neuter, behavior training, nutrition, puppy mill awareness, heartworm preventative and breed education. Our organization also networks with other shelters and rescues. We try to assist other organizations when possible.

Zoe’s House is not federally funded, and relies solely on donations to continue to rescue. Although we are not breed specific, the need to save Dobermans, Rottweilers, German Shepherds and Pitbulls is ever growing; therefore, we have focused primarily on saving the lives of our beloved and majestic strong breeds.

What We do:
There are many people involved in the rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing of each dog we take in. Our rescue effort starts with the initial intake request for a dog. Whether this be at a shelter of from an individual in the community, we try to gather as much information as we can. We then pickup or transport the dog to safety in rescue. At this time we administer immediate veterinary care to determine the health of the dog and ensure the animal has proper immunizations. We also have bloodwork done for a heartworm check, lyme, fecal and sometimes a blood panel depending on the age and health of the dog. The dog remains in "in-home" foster care and becomes a part of the fosters family for an undefined period of time. We evaluate the dog and work on basic manners and obedience. At times we have dogs for a longer duration due to health and/or age. The dogs in our care come with us to adoption events, home screenings, and ultimately permanent placement. Zoe's House then provides post-adoption follow-up and support and welcomes the new family to the "Zoe's House Family!" We strive to stay in close contact with all of our adopters to ensure the transition and life long relationship continues to be magical. We remain dedicated to the principal that we never want one of our rescues to end up in a shelter or in a home that does not provide a responsible and loving environment for the life of the animal.

We truly believe that one dog at a time... we are making a difference!
