**REAL NAME IS MISCHIEF**

Davy Jones is a cute 4-1/2 year old male Chihuahua who was brought to the HSOV on September 4, 2024 by a Good Samaritan who found him on State Route 339 in the Vincent Ohio area.

This little cutie pie has a tan medium-haired coat with white highlights on his chest/paws, a long fluffy tail, and an adorable tan-and-white Chihuahua face with a chocolate brown nose, a tiny slender muzzle, and semi-erect ears.

Davy Jones has a sweet easygoing personality.

Davy is being listed as a 'Special Needs' dog because of his left eye being enlarged and surely has no vision in that eye.

These photos of Davy Jones were taken on September 5th when HSOV Executive Director Amy Rogers was getting ready to take Davy to his veterinarian appointment to have his eye examined, and she graciously offered to help Davy with photos before she and Davy left the shelter.

Davy has not yet stepped on the scales, but he is a petite gentleman who likely weighs 10 lbs or so. Davy Jones has already been neutered.

We apologize for the graphic photos of this sweet boy since we know that they are difficult to see. We hope that his family will see these pictures and know that Davy is safely in our shelter ... or that someone might recognize him and know who his owner might be.

In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Davy will be held for three days so that his family will have an opportunity to reclaim him with proof of ownership.

UPDATE: Davy Jones' left eye was enucleated (surgically removed) on September 5, 2024. The surgery was successful. Davy Jones is now recovering and is being given antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medications while he recuperates from his ordeal.

UPDATE: Davy Jones (aka Mischief) went home with a foster family on September 13, 2024 who plans to adopt him if all goes well.
