My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I lived with my family for many years until they lost their home and they asked a friend to care for me but then he couldn`t either. They relinquished me to the care of Smittens.
I`m a sweet vocal girl. I get along with other cats and I like to greet them with a head butt after a brief sniff. I`m quickly comfortable in new surroundings. I like to explore and if confined to a room I will vocalize my displeasure.

Smittens isn’t just another cat rescue.
We are a coalition of volunteers with a spay/neuter mission, dedicated to helping both stray and owned animals in the greater San Diego area get fixed, receive veterinary care, and whatever else they may need! Smittens works with shelters and other rescues to route cats to proper vet care and eventual homes, and we take in stray cats who need help getting off the street. We also support TNR for feral cats, and assist cat and dog owners to get their own pets fixed and vaccinated at a low cost.
