Watch out world - Diego is ready for his forever home! Diego is a young, playful, and curious Chihuahua with a goofy streak that will keep you laughing. He is a very happy boy, who bounces with energy in the morning. Diego is only 11 pounds, but holds his own with the 85 pound Bernadoodle in his foster home. He loves to play with dogs, big and small, and would love a play buddy in his forever home too. His boundless energy is infectious, and his antics are sure to brighten up any room. Diego is still very puppy-like with a short attention span and endless curiosity. He loves chewing on a good bone and exploring outdoors. Despite his youthful energy, Diego also has a tender side. He loves to cuddle and will happily curl up by your side after a long day of play. He likes to bark when he gets excited and is still working on his house training. Adopt Diego and let his playful spirit fill your home with love and happiness.

Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-served basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. ALL CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $200. Since we make a lifetime commitment to any animal that comes into our program, we only adopt out animals to people in our area..

If you are interested in adopting a CAWS cat or dog, please fill out the online application at http://www.caws.org/application/, email adopt@caws.org or call 328-4731. For the most timely response applying online is recommended.

We respond as quickly as possible but as we are a volunteer based organization and do not have full time staff, we respond as quickly as possible.

CAWS does not have a conventional shelter facility - all CAWS animals waiting for adoption are in foster homes. The number of animals we can help find new homes for is closely linked to how many CAWS foster homes are available. CAWS volunteers bring cats and dogs to the PetSmart near 2100 South and 300 West in South Salt Lake on the third and fourth weekends of each month

We are also at the Sugarhouse PETCO (1165 Wilmington Ave) the first Saturday of each month.
