Misty is a 6-month-old American Staffordshire Terrier mix with a boundless zest for life and a heart as big as her playful spirit! This sweet and energetic pup is always up for an adventure, whether it’s playing fetch in the yard, going for a brisk walk, or romping around with her doggy pals. Misty’s playful nature makes her a perfect match for an active family or individual who can keep up with her fun-loving energy. Sadly, Misty had spent 28 days cooped up in her kennel at BARC in Houston with no interest. But she hasn't let that dampen her spirits! She’s great with other dogs and would thrive in a home where she can stretch her legs, play to her heart's content, and snuggle up with her humans at the end of the day. If you’re looking for a sweet and spirited companion who will brighten your days with joy and laughter, Misty is your girl.

An application, agreement, personal reference check, vet reference check and home visit are required.

Adoption fees are below. All of our animals are microchipped, up to date on vaccines and fully vetted.

Puppies under 1 year : $495
Adults 1-9 years: $375
Adults 9+ years: $300
Special Needs Animals: dependant on specific animal and his or her needs

ADDITIONAL DEPOSIT of $125 for spay/ neuter for all unaltered dogs unless the spay/neuter

Go meet their pets

We are located at 46 Sodom Road, Brewster, NY. You can come stop by 7 days a week from 11am-4pm. While we have 15-18 dogs housed at our adoption center, the majority of our dogs are located in private foster homes.

SNARR Northeast Animal Rescue's mission is "Giving Hope to the Hopeless.” SNARR stands for Special Needs Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation. We do focus on animals with special needs but we also rescue perfectly healthy dogs as well! SNARR works with municipal shelters all over the country to save animals at risk for being euthanized. Our dogs (and cats) are all in foster homes prior to being adopted.
