My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! I'm Lola, a sweet 3.5-year-old girl weighing around 50 lbs. I'm lean with long legs and a short, shiny coat with a hint of dark chocolate. I'm the super-model of all pups.

I get along great with my foster family's dog, and I could thrive with a playful canine companion or as a solo star. The older girl says I'm a bit much and I respect that and am able to be alone. I spent time with dog-savvy cats and did well. I'm adaptable.

I adore people and am affectionate without being clingy. Kids are wonderful. But younger ones should be dog-savvy, as my long, lean frame can lead to some clumsiness.

I'm house-trained and sleep through the night in my crate, though I'm just as happy lounging wherever I please. I enjoy running in the big backyard and am working on my leash skills, especially around distractions.

Their adoption process

1.
Submit Application

Application and more info may be found at: peaklabrescue.com/adopt. Please allow 24 hours for your application to be reviewed.

2.
Meet the Pet

If approved, you will be given the foster's contact info. WE DO NOT SHIP DOGS. You must come to Apex, NC (near Raleigh) to meet in person.

3.
Sign Adoption Contract

If it's a match you can take your dog home that day. Our Adoption Fee is $325 and you must complete and sign our Adoption Agreement.

4.
Take the Pet Home

If you return the dog within 7 days of adoption you may receive a refund of $275. A $75 administrative fee is required to cover our costs.

Additional adoption info

You will receive the dog's Vet records via email 7-10 days after adoption. You will receive the dog's microchip info and rabies tag (if appropriate) via USPS about 2 weeks after adoption.
