My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Captain Plumpo!

This unique little boy came to AFRP after his loving foster mom reached out to us for help! Plumpo was at Hitchcock Road Animal Services with eye concerns as well as signs of kennel stress from the busy shelter environment. Now, he's living it up with his foster brother, Blueberry, and has a new outlook on life!

Rescued as a tiny, orphaned kitten at just 4 weeks old, Plumpo's round little belly and recent eye removal earned him his pirate name! Plumpo's heart is as big as his belly, and he's always ready to explore and play. He's a little food lover, especially fond of wet food, and he's great at finishing up any leftovers.

Plumpo would love to find a home with another energetic kitten or cat, and may do just fine in a home with a cat-savvy pup! Any introductions to new animals in the home should be done slowly and gradually. He would do best with adult adopters or with cat-savvy children over the age of 15 at this time as he can become overstimulated at times.

Captain Plumpo is currently in foster care. Meet and greets can be arranged once your online application has been approved. Visit www.animalfriendsrescue.org for our online cat application.

Additional adoption info

Adoption fees help to cover the cost of the care the animal has received during their time with us, including spay/neuter, vaccines, microchipping, deworming, and flea treatment and basic foster care.

All potential adopters complete an application and are screened using a standardized series of questions by a trained adoption counselor. If the application and screening are satisfactory, a qualified adopter can complete a contract, pay the adoption fee and take the animal home.
