For Adopt a Pet and the PEDIGREE® brand, October is all about finding homes for dogs in shelters. Adopt this month for a PEDIGREE® Wet Food Pouch and a chance to win a Homecoming-style photo shoot and shelter donation.
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Meet Frankie a pocket sized pitty at just 40 pounds! She’s so little! Think “target dog” or “lil rascal” with adorable puppy energy. She is the sweetest cuddle bug that loves to play and wiggle! We found this lil girl in need of medical attention for a cherry eye that had never been treated. We new she would be our next foster project! Now she’s all fixed up and ready for her forever home. Frankie loves to wrestle with her foster brother (a black lab) and loves to tease her feline roomate. (Frankie loves her kitty brother) Frankie is perfectly house trained. She knows a few commands now and is very eager to please. She is working on her leash training and exploring the big city with confidence. She does well in her crate for alone time. We wish we could keep her but our teen godson is terrified of pits since a young age. We’ve invested a lot of time and money working on training and vet bills. She’s a sweet and loyal girl and we want her to go to a good home!
