DJ is an adorable 3-year old male Corgi/American Pit Bull Terrier mix who was brought to the HSOV on September 2, 2024 by a Washington County Ohio Deputy Sheriff who picked him up on State Route 7 near Starlite in the Marietta Ohio area. DJ was accompanied by a female Corgi mix (LJ) who is surely his sister. Neither DJ nor LJ were wearing a collar, and they were not microchipped.
DJ has a dark brown/brindle short smooth coat with a large white bib on his chest, short chubby bowed front legs, white socks on his paws, a long body, a long tail, and a handsome brindle face with dark brown eyes, a dusting of white on his muzzle, and semi-erect ears.
DJ has an affectionate, outgoing personality and is full of playful energy. This boy loves attention and was a social butterfly when HSOV Kennel Tech Emily Beaver teamed up with Kennel Tech Cadince Bibbee to treat DJ and LJ for some outdoor fun while they had their first Petfinder/Facebook photos taken on September 3, 2024.
DJ weighs 35 lbs.
DJ and LJ will be neutered/spayed before being adopted. Naturally this awesome pair would love to find another home together.
UPDATE: We learned a few days after their arrival that this beautiful pair of siblings were actually surrendered by their family and were not strays. DJ's real name is Goku. LJ's real name is Bulma.
Goku and Bulma have been temporarily separated (because of their genders and not knowing for sure if LJ/Bulma has been spayed).
We took the opportunity to take indoor photos on September 5th of Goku in his "bachelor's pad" near the lobby of our shelter. He looked so cute that day, and we just couldn't resist the urge to snap more pictures!
Update: DJ went home with a foster family on November 2, 2024 who plans to adopt him after he is neutered (a requirement for HSOV adoptions to be finalized).
DJ was adopted by his foster family on December 7, 2024 after he was neutered.
