My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Whist!

AFRP's Card Game litter came to us after Hitchcock Road Animal Services reached out for help! Now, these four kittens are ready to find their furever homes!

Whist is quite a shy kitty and we are learning more about him everyday! He will stay in hiding until he feels comfortable. When comfortable he will come out to explore. He loves to be held and cuddled and will crawl on your lap for attention. He would love to be adopted with his brother Blackjack or a home with another confident kitten or cat to help show him the ropes. He needs a calm, patient home with adult adopters or with children over the age of 10 at this time. At this time it is currently unknown how he is with dogs, but any introductions to new animals in the home should be gradual and over a course of time.

Whist is currently at Pet Food Express at the Crossroads in Carmel. An in-person meet and greet can be scheduled once an application has been received.

Additional adoption info

Adoption fees help to cover the cost of the care the animal has received during their time with us, including spay/neuter, vaccines, microchipping, deworming, and flea treatment and basic foster care.

All potential adopters complete an application and are screened using a standardized series of questions by a trained adoption counselor. If the application and screening are satisfactory, a qualified adopter can complete a contract, pay the adoption fee and take the animal home.
