My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🐾 Meet Nirvana: The Pup Who Finds Joy in Everything! 🐾

Say hello to Nirvana, the most curious and joyful pup we've ever had at the shelter! Nirvana's playful spirit shines through in everything she does, whether she's investigating the mop, her food bucket, pine straw, or even her kennel neighbor—she’s always smiling and having fun! 😄

Nirvana’s zest for life has made her the easiest of her siblings to teach to walk on a leash. While she’s still mastering the art of staying on her own feet (and not yours!), a little reassurance is all she needs to keep going.

Meal time is another favorite for Nirvana. While she doesn’t scarf her food down, she’s still figuring out where the treat ends and your fingers begin, so it's best for little fingers to stick to placing her food in her bowl. The good news? Nirvana has no resource guarding issues, making it safe for her to share meal time with other dogs in the home.

Nirvana is going to be a big girl—she’s already 30 pounds—so she’ll need a home with plenty of space to grow into! If you’re looking for a joyful, curious companion who will bring endless smiles to your life, Nirvana could be the perfect match.

We pick up stray dogs across Marshall County with the exception of Albertville, Arab, Boaz, Guntersville, and Grant city limits. When picked up, dogs are help on their "stray hold" for 7 days to provide owners an opportunity to reclaim their dog. Afterwards, dogs are available for adoption or rescue.
