My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

📢 Meet Pax, the shy guy who’s ready to steal your heart! 💖

Pax may be a big puppy, but he’s one of the most gentle souls you’ll ever meet. He loves everyone and everything, though he might need a few minutes to warm up to new people or dogs. Once he does, he’s all about sharing—whether it’s toys or food, Pax is happy to share with others.

Leash training is still a work in progress for Pax, but he’s improving with each walk, thanks to plenty of patience and reassurance. Despite his size, Pax desperately wants to be a lap dog, making him the perfect cuddle buddy for movie marathons or rainy day naps. 🌧️

Pax would thrive in a home with a confident fur sibling to help him build his confidence. He does well with children, though his shy nature means he might take a little time to fully relax.

If you’re looking for a gentle giant who’s ready to be your snuggle partner, Pax is waiting to meet you! 🐾

More about this shelter

The Marshall County Animal Control shelter is located in Albertville, Alabama. We pick up stray dogs across Marshall County with the exception of Albertville, Arab, Boaz, Guntersville, and Grant city limits. When picked up, dogs are help on their "stray hold" for 7 days to provide owners an opportunity to reclaim their dog. Afterwards, dogs are available for adoption or rescue.
