Introducing Alexis, the perfect example of what a little love can do! This sweet girl was found with her sisters at a popular hiking spot, starving for food and craving attention. Despite her rough start, Alexis has made it her mission to bring smiles to everyone she meets!
Alexis is the calmest of her sisters and enjoys a balance of outdoor adventures and cozy couch time. Whether it's a walk, a hike, or just hanging out in the AC while you watch your favorite show, Alexis is up for it all. She's still learning to love the leash, and while she’s a quick learner, she appreciates a little reassurance during her walks.
Alexis has met a couple of the other new intakes and, with proper introductions, she might do well in a home with a male dog. She’s less fond of other female dogs but is a total sweetheart with kids. In fact, it was a family on a hike who found Alexis and her sisters! Since arriving at the shelter, she’s met several children and has done well each time.
This gentle girl is between 6 months to 1 year old and weighs about 45 pounds. She's a slow eater, so no need to worry about buying extra slow feeders for this lady—she takes her time during mealtime.
If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion, Alexis might be the one for you! For more information on how to adopt or rescue this sweet girl, please message us on Facebook or call/text us at 256-960-1408.
