My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Age: 8 years old
Weight: 7.44kg / 16.4lb

Meet Zoe, an 8-year-old kitty with a sweet, gentle soul. While she can be a bit shy at first, once she warms up, she's full of affection and personality. Zoe is a big fan of scratching, so providing plenty of scratching posts will help keep her happy and enriched. She also loves to chase things, especially wand toys, which is perfect since she's a little "large and in charge." Zoe is overweight and will need your help with a gradual weight loss plan under the guidance of a vet.

But don't let her size fool you-this clever lady can open doors! You'll want to keep an eye on her because she's a bit treat-crazy and might just help herself if given the chance. If you're looking for a smart, playful, and loving companion, Zoe could be the perfect fit for your home.

More about this shelter

CONNECTING LIVES SINCE 1922

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.

Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.

Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.

Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.

Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.

Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
